CPR4Life AZ is proud to be an authorized American Heart Association Training Site. We work with members of the Southern Arizona community to provide quality AHA education and hands-on skills practice. Whether a non-healthcare professional or a trained healthcare professional, we are so grateful to serve individuals and groups who need this certification as required by their place of employment, or simply because there is a desire to learn these skills in the event of an emergency.
We issue same-day cards and strive to provide various class times to accommodate different work schedules. If you do not see a course listed that you need, please let us know. We may be able to help!

Holistic Nutrition and Wellness Coaching for Women
“As soon as you truly commit to making something happen, the “how” will reveal itself.” Tony Robbins
CPR4Life AZ is dedicated to the belief that those who serve in critical care roles are greatly benefited by a pro-active, comprehensive approach to maintaining or achieving wellness. There is growing national attention being given to the actual or potential negative impact on health and wellness that can be an inherent part of the experience of being a first responder or critical care clinician. Through positive, strengths-based, introspective strategies, coaching can provide a pivotal platform from which our clients can identify and actualize their vision for health and wellness as they continue to serve others as healthcare providers. We are happy to provide free telephone consultation to describe our approach and to determine if coaching is the right platform for those who may be interested!

Our Core Beliefs
Core Belief #1: All Students Can Be Successful
Given the appropriate learning environment, ALL students can be successful. Our class sizes are purposefully small, and each course is provided in a relaxed, interactive setting. This environment is ideal for many of our students.
Core Belief #2: AHA Courses Help Save Lives
Increased community access and participation in American Heart Association courses can improve survival for those experiencing a medical emergency including cardiac arrest.
Core Belief #3: Advanced Certification Courses Forward Careers and Positively Impact the Quality of Patient Care
Healthcare professionals seeking advanced certifications in critical care settings (emergency department, intensive care units, air and ground transport settings, and prehospital/fire) strive to prepare, refresh, and extend their knowledge base through certification preparation/renewal courses.
We recognize a legitimate need for increased access and options through which this education can be obtained.
Core Belief #4: Holistic Wellness Programs Keep Us Strong As We Answer the Call to Care
We recognize a definite need for increased access to relevant, comprehensive information regarding practices which forward the states of wellness among those who have themselves answered the call to serve in critical care environments.
Meet Kristie Johnson
“Often, our communities will call us to serve others in roles where our gifts are found.”
Over twenty years ago, owner and founder Kristie Johnson began her very first role as an educator at what is now Banner University Medical Center in Southern Arizona. After showing early aptitude for teaching, she was asked to assist with the patient care technician course there. That’s where it all began.
A registered nurse whose experience now spans what is approaching a quarter century of tertiary-level critical care, trauma, labor and delivery, ground and air medical transport, utilization review and clinical appeals writing, Kristie’s principle passion remains dedicated to increasing options and access to quality critical care education.
Kristie’s clinical experience and expertise includes childbirth education, primary preceptor roles in the air medical industry (primarily rotor wing transport), intra-aortic balloon pump instructor, human patient simulator instructor, high risk obstetrics curriculum development and education, and critical care continuing education instruction.
Kristie is an AHA instructor in: Heartsaver CPR (all varieties), BLS CPR, ACLS, and PALS. She is also a Neonatal Resuscitation Program instructor through the American Academy of Pediatrics.
How We Do It
At CPR4Life AZ, we gauge the effectiveness of our education by the ongoing assessment of our students to ensure that real learning and take-away skills have been received by each learner. Because we have extensive experience with diverse adult learning styles, we are highly successful at adapting our teaching strategies as needed.
We remain steadfast in developing and presenting course content which is relevant, rigorous, up-to-date, and which directly translates into the learners’ ability to positively impact the lives of those who find themselves critically ill or injured.
Lastly, at CPR4Life AZ, we actively partner with talented educators from across the region to further amplify the foundational quality of our educational programs and services.
